Our 50th Reunion was a great success thanks to the input and hard work of the committee and so many other people. The food supplied by our families for the pōwhiri was very much appreciated and all of the events were well attended with delicious food.

It is with much sadness that we learnt of the passing of Queen Elizabeth II at the end of last week. The
government are considering a public holiday to pay our respects which will be announced shortly. On Monday 19th September we will be planting a memorial tree on our school field.
Kia ora tātou,
At the end of this week we have our mid-term break which means Moanataiari School will be closed from Friday 26th August to Monday 29th August. School will resume on Tuesday 30th August. We hope you all take this opportunity to spend some family time together and refresh, ready for the rest of the term.
Kia ora tātou,
Please remember that our school, and all primary schools in Thames, will be closed next Monday 22nd August for a teacher only day while the teachers attend professional development.
Kia ora tātou,
Many thanks to those parents and staff members who have put their names forward for our upcoming Board of Trustees election. We have received 7 parent nominations to fill the 5 seats available so we will need to hold an election. Voting forms will be sent home this Wednesday. Voting closes on Wednesday 7th September at 4pm.
Kia ora tātou,
There is a lot of illness around at the moment along with Covid cases. If your child is unwell, please keep them home to rest and recover. You will need to inform us of their absence and this can be done either by phone, text (021 026 34461), Skool Loop, email, or via our website.
